We've received a huge amount of enquiries and bookings since the roadmap was announced on Monday, so there is evidently a lot of optimism that events will bounce back from 21st June (and smaller weddings from 17th May). We certainly hope that things will return to normal as swiftly as possible.
If you're planning an event from May onwards and need luxury loo facilities in Somerset, Dorset or throughout the South West we strongly recommend you get in touch soon (and likewise with other event suppliers like marquees, caterers, bands etc). After a year of thumb twiddling it looks like a lot of people plan to catch up with their socialising in a big way! 17th July is already fully booked and we have just one unit available for a number of other weekends.
Fingers crossed people continue to play their part by following guidelines and we can start delivering our services at events again along with all our industry colleagues. Take care!
Our luxury loo trailers look the same from the outside in brilliant white with tasteful and discreet branding but how about inside? We offer two distinct interiors: The Splendour and The Splendid.
Which luxury toilet trailer is suitable for your event only you can decide. We like them both but it's up to you whether you choose the classic or contemporary vibe.
Happy New Year! A question we occasionally get asked is 'why are your loos white?'. Well, we decided to stock white loos rather than the more common green for a few reasons:
1) we wanted to be different and add a touch of exclusivity
2) many of our loo trailers are used at marquee weddings. Marquees are invariably white which means the loos blend in nicely rather than standing out (photo below)
3) white is a well established and loved wedding colour
4) it's important that loo trailers can be noticed without being too prominent. White stands out against grassy/leafy green backgrounds. Who wants to be asked 'where's the loo?' countless times on their wedding day? :)
4) they show dirt easily which means we are always on top of cleaning both inside and out!
So there you go....
After a very tough year for our industry and many friends and colleagues we'd like to wish you and yours a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. May the world return to normality as soon as possible with happy occasions attended by friends and family. Thanks to all customers for supporting us throughout 2020. We look forward to seeing you all soon.
Yes, it's possible for us to install our loo trailers inside marquees and this is something we frequently do over the colder months of the year. A covered loo trailer is a plush addition which will wow your guests, particularly as they don't need to get wet, cold or muddy by venturing outside.
Usually marquees are installed 2-3 or even more days before events take place. Depending on access, we would need to either deliver and position the loo so the marquee can be built around it, or if the marquee size allows (eave height in particular) we can manoeuvre into place afterwards, say the Friday.
Worst case scenario, we would need to put the trailer in place a few days prior and then return to get the system working and add the magic blue fluid the day before the event. Depending on the location this might attract a small extra charge.
When planning your marquee be generous with space: 6m x 6m minimum but ideally 6m x 9m so you can set up a cloakroom and 'makeup adjusting area' alongside the loos for the ultimate splendid touch!
Welcome to The Splendid Loo Company's blog and new website! We're really thrilled with the new design which does much more justice to our product and service. Please feel free to send us some feedback. Thanks to Marketing Doctor for designing and optimising it.
COVID obviously ruined virtually all of our event season but we have several luxury toilet units out through the winter for social distancing at schools, universities, campsites etc. Let's hope 2021 is kind to us all.
Thanks for reading. Please check back soon!
As we've supplied 500+ loos to the events industry since 2013 we've become extremely adept and resourceful at accessing sites. Needless to say, marquee weddings are frequently to be found in nice locations on farms, up hills, down tracks, through forests etc. It's always handy to have a tractor or mini digger nearby!
Although we like the challenge of accessing a difficult location and have the skills, we like to be prepared.....so please don't surprise us! If in any doubt, we can conduct a site visit to ensure access is possible and won't incur any extra expense.
Shout out to Rob from Oakleaf Marquees who can be seen piloting the trailer being towed by the digger. Wow, that was a wet one....
